What a beautiful day! We got so lucky with the weather -- it turned out to be a beautiful, breezy, sunny fall day! We decided to change the venue the day before and it turned out to be a good decision. With all the rain we got on Thursday, we couldn't wait until Friday morning to find out if the original golf course was going to cancel, and we weren't going to postpone it again. So, on Thursday, we decided to secure another golf course that promised they wouldn't cancel on us: Twin Ponds was so accommodating and welcomed us with open arms. Their course drains well so even with all the rain we got, we were good to go on Friday! Now...we had never seen the pavilion at Twin Ponds so we didn't know what we were working with. We had less than 24 hours to pull everything together at a totally new venue. We had already planned where we would put the signs, check-in table, raffles, the entire layout - and it all had to change. Luckily we were able to pull it off and everyone enjoyed themselves. Rolling Thunder helped us cook the burgers and hot dogs at lunch, and Moyers catered dinner with a delicious BBQ buffet. We're already looking forward to next year!
